Steven Vincent Thanks for this. In Key Exchange bookings like the one you received this notification for we do not know the vehicles current location to populate that variable. I have made a story where you can track and engage in the discussion on having the ability to customize this notification to support both Key Exchange and Keyless bookings.

If your network is always going to have vehicles on one rental model you can configure your notification content to support it. Check out the documentation here:

Matt Wehner: Thanks for the update on this. I understand the approach - although for a newcomer (and potentially someone less technical) a substitution of an empty variable to perhaps even a blank might be a "nicer" default. Regardless, how would we go about making that code change - do we do it ourselves somewhere?

Steven Vincent: Right now configuring notifications is a technical looking process, but we're working on it.
Like other configuration you will need to provide us with content you wish to change and we will update it for you.
You can see an example of all the notifications you can configure here: http://docs.hourfleet.com/notifications.html
You only need to supply a configuration for the ones you wish to change. The format for a notification looks like this:
If you find it easier, you can share an online word doc me in Slack that has just the textual content for each notification and I can work with you to put it in the right format.
